Know what to compare.
Start with the intended use, then compare the technical data for the exact film.
Light transmission
Visible light transmission (VLT) describes how much visible light passes through. A lower value means a darker result. For vehicles, check the limits that apply locally.
Solar energy
Compare total solar energy rejection as well as light transmission. Check the test glazing and the conditions behind the published figures instead of comparing isolated percentages.
Reflection & privacy
Interior and exterior reflection affect the look of the glass. Reflective film does not guarantee privacy under every lighting condition, especially when the interior is brighter at night.
Application & compatibility
Check suitability for the vehicle, glass, frame or surface involved. Safety/security requirements depend on the complete installed system, not just the film.
